🍷 Local Tips

🍽️ Where to Eat & Local Food

Near our property and throughout the historic centre you will find many excellent places to eat: from cosy traditional osterie to more refined restaurants and typical delicatessens perfect for a quick lunch. We recommend trying these local specialities:

🫓 La Crescia sul Panaro

Gubbio's gastronomic symbol. A flatbread made from an ancient dough, cooked on a stone disc and filled with Umbrian cured meats, local cheeses or wild herbs.

🍟 Il Brustengo

An authentic Eugubine speciality. A crispy fried "focaccina" (water, flour and rosemary), served piping hot with prosciutto crudo or pecorino cheese.

🤍 White Truffle

Gubbio is one of the truffle capitals. Shaved over hand-made strascinati pasta, passatelli or omelette — our white gold will win you over.

🍲 Friccò all'Eugubina

The quintessential local main course: a rich mixed-meat stew (chicken, rabbit, lamb) slow-cooked with herbs and tomato.

💡 Host's tip: For the best view of Gubbio at sunset, head to Piazza Grande — the panorama over the Eugubine hills is simply unforgettable.
